Vern Rampton, Ph.D., P. Eng. - President and CEO, Director
Dr. Rampton has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of mineral exploration and development from grass roots exploration through to corporate management in domestic and international jurisdictions. He has been jointly responsible for financings in excess of $30M and was President, CEO and a director of TSXV listed Kinbauri Gold Corp. from its inception in 1984 until its take-over in 2009. At Kinbauri, he was responsible for all aspects of its governance, finances, strategy and development. He successfully negotiated the purchase of two mines and a mill in Spain in 2007 for US$5M; Kinbauri was subsequently taken over in 2009 for about tenfold of the Spanish asset’s purchase price.
Dr. Rampton founded Carube Resources Inc. in 2011, which evolved into Carube Copper Corp., a TSXV listed company with operations in the Caribbean and Canada. He served as President, CEO, VP Corporate Development and a director at various times until 2017. He is also President and CEO of Auropean Ventures Inc., a private company with operations in Europe from 2012 until present. Dr. Rampton is the sole principal of Rampton Resources Group Inc. and has been President, CEO and a director of Mayo Lake Minerals since its inception in 2011. He is a member of numerous professional associations and he has authored or co-authored over seventy articles in his fields of expertise, most recently on the dispersal of ore tracers in surficial materials. He is a professional engineer (Ontario) and is a “Qualified Person” under securities legislation in Canada. Dr. Rampton holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Geology) from the University of Manitoba and a Doctorate (Geology) from the University of Minnesota. Tyrell Sutherland, M.Sc., P.Geo. - Vice President Exploration
Mr. Sutherland has over ten years of work experience in Canada, Australia, China and the Caribbean, focusing on early stage exploration and development projects for juniors, majors and government. He has served as an exploration geologist at Goldcorp’s Musselwhite Mine, Kirkland Lake Gold’s Macassa Mine and has contributed to projects in the Yellowknife gold camp, Gowganda silver camp, Rouyn-Noranda VMS district, Pilbara Iron district, Jamaican porphyry district and north China Craton.
Mr Sutherland is the sole principal of Sans Peur Exploration Services Inc. He was appointed VP Exploration of Mayo Lake Minerals Inc. in June of 2017 and has been overseeing Mayo Lake’s exploration activities as senior geologist since its inception in 2011. He has sourced significant government funding for Mayo Lake’s exploration programs during the most recent downturn. Mr. Sutherland is a professional geologist registered with the APGO and NAPEG and is a “Qualified Person” under securities legislation in Canada. Mr. Sutherland holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology from the University of Ottawa and an Master of Science in Geology from Queens University. Andre R.C. Mr. Rancourt provides Mayo Lake Minerals with impressive business development and leadership skills. For over 40 years, he has been involved in the public, private and not for profit sectors. In senior management positions, he has helped coordinate a number of mergers, several acquisitions and multiple corporate restructurings; as well as numerous private financing rounds. He is fluently bilingual.In particular, he has held senior management positions as President of The Lowe Martin Group, Vice-President and CFO, March Networks; Vice President of Operations, Canada Communications Group Inc. and Chief Financial Officer, Ventana Management Services/East Lane Developments. He has also provided management services and advice to Canada’s House of Commons.
Of special note, is that he has extensive experience in the north while working with First Nations communities. While Business Manager of Mackenzie Valley Construction Ltd a company owned 51% by the Gwich’in Development Corporation and 49% by Flint Energy Services Ltd., he was responsible for operations in Inuvik and Ft McPherson, NWT. Mr. Rancourt has also worked for the Inuvialuit Development Corporation a First Nations owned holding company with consolidated revenues in excess of $168M. M. Rancourt is a graduate of the University of Ottawa where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors for Not For Profit Organizations – Telfer School of Management. Darrell Munro, BBA, LL.B - Corporate Administration
Mr. Munro’s business career includes ten years in the practice of law (criminal and civil), ten years as an investment advisor and thereafter 20 years of experience in all aspects of corporate management including administration, legal, financing and investor relations for private and public companies. From 2011 until 2016, he served as Corporate Administrator of Carube Copper Corp. (formerly Carube Resources Inc.) a TSX-V listed exploration company with operations in the Caribbean and Canada and from 2011 until mid-2018 he served Auropean Ventures Inc., a private Ontario based company with operations in Europe, in a similar matter.
Mr. Munro has been Corporate Administrator for Mayo Lake Minerals Inc. since its inception in 2011. In the past, he has been actively involved in coaching minor football as well as fundraising for various athletic programs and charitable initiatives. Mr. Munro has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Law from Queen’s University. Chris Irwin, B.A., LL.B - Corporate Secretary
Mr. Irwin has practised law, primarily securities, since 1996 at which time he became a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. From 1998 to 2004, he was associated initially with Boyle & Company and subsequently with Power Budd LLP. From 2004 to 2006, he was associated with Wildeboer Dellelce LLP.Mr. Irwin initiated his own practise in 2007 and is a principal of Irwin Lowy LLP, a Toronto based law firm specializing in corporate and securities law. He has been, and is, a director and officer of a number of private and public companies. Mr. Irwin has served as Secretary of Mayo Lake Minerals since its inception in 2011.
Mr. Irwin received his Bachelor of Arts from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec in 1990 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1994. |
